THE FARM has facilities available for YOUR horse.
There are many miles of scenic trails nearby.
Enjoy the simplicity of country living along with small town atmosphere.
Built in 1904 by Scandinavian immigrants, THE FARM continued as
the family's dairy operation until 1993. Presently, the land is being utilized
for growing crops and grazing livestock.
Stroll through the stable, hike the 200 acres of fields and woodlands,
or walk/bike the four blocks to browse through downtown Birchwood featuring
unique gift shops, a variety of stores, restaurants, and an ice cream parlor.
The tiny town of Birchwood (pop. 400) has its own high school, public boat
landing, park, and Bluegill festival. Numerous lakes attract many visitors
to the area.

THE FARM
has five rooms to suit your needs with reasonable rates. There are three
bathrooms, one on each floor. Ample parking for boats, trailers, etc. A
light breakfast is included.

countryside. Air conditioned.
Northside Twin

Quaint country decor with antique beds and handmade quilts. This
room is located on the second floor. Air conditioned.
Sunporch

A beautiful morning view, designed to sleep three. Nature's air.
Sportsman's Suite

Comfortable sub level unit with complete privacy that sleeps 5-6.

POLICY
Check or cash accepted. Reservations are recommended with
a one night deposit holding your room. Deposit is refunded with a 10 day
cancellation notice or if the room is rented. All rates are subject to
change.
THE FARM is a smoke free environment. No pets (mine
or yours) are allowed in the house.
This is in response to frequently asked questions by horse people .

*Horses must have a current negative Coggins test.
*My horses are not available to guests.
*There is no charge for pasturing your horse. If they
require indoor stabling, daily rates are $5.00 for tie stalls, or $10.00
for box stalls.
*The 75-mile Tuscobia Trail is accessible from THE
FARM. It is an old railroad bed that is now a state owned trail groomed
for snowmobiles. During the summer, it is closed to motorized vehicles
the 15 miles to the west. The near-by Ice Age Trail is much more challenging.

Popular area activities in Birchwood and Northwest Wisconsin include hunting,
fishing, boating, golfing, antique shopping, horseback riding, flea markets,
snowmobiling, Birkebeiner, cross-country skiing, rodeos, world lumberjack
championships, theater/stage, and weekly festivals.
Driving Time
Two and one-half hours from Minneapolis & St. Paul, 7 hours from Chicago,
Milwaukee, Fargo, 11 hours from Kansas City, and12 hours from Detroit &
