During the event we will announce the Member of the Year Award for 2007. We received your votes and the outcome was a unanimous one. So paying tribute to the member of the year is another reason to attend the After the Holidays Holiday Party. See you on the 19th. YOUNG EAGLE EVENT AT SCOTT AFB: We are planning a YE’s flight at Scott AFB on 9 Feb 08 to celebrate. This will be the first of its kind…at least we all think it is a first. TSgt Dwight Cox, from Air Mobility Command, is planning the event and has asked for our assistance in making the event a success. I will provide more details through the website during the next few weeks. I expect to have more information to provide during the After the Holiday Holiday Party. So please keep visiting the website for details. BLOGS BUILDERS CAN USE: If you have a computer, here is a blog that is worth reading BobHooversblog.blogspot.com. Bob Hoover is no relation to Robert A. Hoover…the famed aviator of North American P-52 and Shrike Commander Fame…he is a down home guy who loves to fly on the cheap. His blog is full of information on how to build low cost airplanes and VW engines to power them. I believe you will find the site interesting and informative. Let us know what you think at the next meeting. We have a lot planned for 2008, so rest now so you have energy for the coming flying season. Until the party… …keep ‘em flying. dd |
