Last time, Meg found a Hoppip, and caught it. That made Silver quite
jealous because he still had only Cyndaquil, his starter Pokémon. But then,
Silver found a Pidgey, and was able to catch it!
*****
“Wow! I’ve actually caught a Pidgey! I can’t wait to battle with
it!” Silver said cheerfully.
“Yeah, and I got a cute Hoppip!” Meg exclaimed.
“Well, I guess there isn’t anything we have to do, so, how about we
get to Cherrygrove, then head onto Violet City!”
“Sounds cool. I also hear there’s a gym for you.”
“Yep! It’ll be awesome, getting my first badge!”
“I suppose.” Meg replied playfully.
“What? Don’t you think I’ll be strong enough to get a badge?”
Silver questioned.
“Oh, I don’t know.” Meg laughed, running ahead.
“Heah! It’s not funny! I’ll show you! I’m good enough to win
badges! …. I challenge you to a mach!” Silver exclaimed.
“Oh really? This’ll be fun!” Meg laughed, “I accept!”
“Awesome! Okay, so, each of us can use two Pokémon; all we have.”
Silver stated the rules.
“Okay. I can go with that.” Meg agreed, “Go Chikorita!” Meg
yelled out as she threw out a Pokéball, which opened and had a burst of red
light come out, to become Chikorita.
“Chikorita; how did I know you were going to choose her? Go!
Cyndaquil!” Silver yelled out as he threw a Pokéball that opened to have a
burst of red light come out and become his Cyndaquil.
“Okay, Chikorita! Tackle!” Meg commanded.
“Cyndaquil! Fast! Use your smokescreen so Chikorita won’t be able to
see where you are, and then give her a tackle!”
*****
Cyndaquil spewed out smoke, causing Chikorita to cough and not find
Cyndaquil. Meanwhile, Cyndaquil went strait through he smoke and rammed into
Chikorita.
*****
“Awesome move Cyndaquil!” Silver cheered Cyndaquil on.
“Arg! Silver! … Chikorita! Razor Leaf!” Meg said, annoyed but
confidant.
“Ha! Cyndaquil… Try to doge the leaves if you can!” Silver said,
loosing some hope.
“Score! Way to go Chikorita! You hit Cyndaquil! But, no time to loose!
Tackle!” Meg said happily.
“Cyndaquil! Watch out!” Silver yelled out, watching breathlessly as
Cyndaquil tried to doge the razor sharp green leaves coming whizzing at him.
--- BAM! Cyndaquil was hit.---
“Haha! Give up yet?” Meg laughed at Silver, questioningly.
“No way! I have to prove to you that I’m good enough to fight
the gym leaders and win Badges so I could them compete against the Elite
Four!” Silver replied.
“Ohh. Sticking it till your Cyndaquil drops and his flames on his back
go out; ehh?”
“Yeah!”
“Well then, Silver, you better get your Cyndaquil into a good shape
fast, ‘cause here I go! CHIKORITA – GIVE CYNDA… Heah! What is your
Cyndaquil doing Silver?” Meg questioned in confusion.
“I uhh… Wow, well uhh… Humm… I don’t know! Oh wait! I think
he’s healing himself with a berry!” Silver said still unsure.
“Oh yeah! I bet that’s right, and, that would go along perfectly,
because, isn’t it that whenever you start off your starting Pokémon has a
berry attached to it?” Meg questioned.
“Yeah. That sounds right.” Silver said, “Way to go Cyndaquil, but,
I want Pidgey to have a chance, so, if it’s okay with you, return!” Silver
said, holding out the Pokéball, which took Cyndaquil into it with a flash of
red light.
“Trying to beat my Chikorita with your weak newly caught Pidgey? He’d
never stand a chance!” Meg chuckled. “But, I’ll let Hoppip try! GO
HOPPIP!” Meg yelled out, throwing down the Pokéball that contained Hoppip.
“Hoppip!” The purple with green leaves Pokémon cried out, being
happy to be out of her Pokeball.
“Pidgey! … Uhh …” Silver said, unsure of what attacks Pidgey had.
“Oh come on Silver! Don’t you know that your Pidgey only has the
tackle attack?” Meg questioned, being rude.
“Oh yeah, well, I forgot! --- CYNDAQUIL! … Err. Oh how embarrassing!
I can’t even call you the right name!” Silver sighed in embarrassment,
“Well, let’s try this again; Pidgey! TACKLE!”
“Pidgey!” Pidgey shrilled out of it’s small beak while flapping up
and hitting Hoppip.
“Uhh… Oh man! Hoppip…. Synthesis!” Meg yelled out is
exasperation. “Why couldn’t I have got a Hoppip at a higher level? This
Hoppip only knows Splash and Synthesis!” Meg wailed.
“HA! HAHA!” Silver laughed, rolling about on the ground.
“Heah! Watch it Mr.!” Meg said, her face growing hot. “Well, well
see who’ll be laughing once I send Chikorita to attack your Pidgey!” She
thought.
