The yellow interior light creates a warm cozy feeling. The blue outdoor light instills more of a cold mechanical feel which is oddly ironic.
The dark blue water and the light blue sky are harshly split in two by the line of yellow and white from the boats. The light reflecting off the boat into the water creates the dividing line.
The sky is bright white from all the lights on top of the buildings in the city. The buildings themselves are brightly colored while the water creates a dark gray area at the bottom.
The shadow created by another hill splits the picture neatly in two, with the vibrant tree colors stuck out of the shadow in the direct sunlight, while the darker colors sulk in the shadow.
The sunlight from outside creates a brillant portal contrasting to the dark interior. There is another form of light generating the circule inside the cave, but it has a different quality than the sunshine setting the two apart.
