About these pages These pages are devoted to two, seemingly unrelated, types of materials. The first type contains applications of Java applets to visualize some very basic math for elementary education as well as to understand better Newtonian Mechanics for high school or college students. It also contains description of non-standard introductory physics lab experiments. All these materials were created during my teaching at Dickinson State University, some of them with help of my colleagues, and meant for a free use anywhere. All of them are still available on DSU web pages. The other type, are images I have taken during my hikes in various mountains and other rather wild places. As I am retired now, this part will be developed further as much as the volume of my web pages let me do this. Later, the content of this part will be changed periodically. In these pictures a beauty of the Nature is probably evident to everybody. It looks even better if you are there to see it yourself. Especially from a top of high mountain. But reaching some of these places takes a lot of effort. The beauty of the Nature is also possible to see in math, physics and other sciences. This, however, demands more than pure memorization, you have to understand it, at least to a certain extend. But such understanding is usually more difficult than claiming quite high mountains. Hopefully some of us will take this challenge.
