| Lived next to Joseph and Elizabeth Matejovic in 1870. Also spelled Prekop. 3979: Matiejowitz, Prekop and Marie--petitioned by Anton Matiejewetz, Kossuth, 4 Oct. 1910. Prekop died fall of 1881, Marie in spring 1884 leaving "a certain bond for firewood and the keeping of a certain fence, which said bond" is still recorded and has been satisfied. Bond executed on 29 Sept. 1866 by Johann Matiejewitz to Prekop and Marie Matiejewitz. The bond has long ago been lost and petitioner is unable to find same but that it is recorded in Vol. P of Mortgages on Page 279. Court Transcript--3 Oct. 1910--Anton: "Bond on John"--30 acres--West 30 acres of NE1/4 of NW1/4 of Section 20, T20N, R23E. Gave Prekop and Marie right to cut firewood during lives and John would have to set up a fence. But that was never done. The wood chopping and this fence building was never done. There never was any hacking done. Q: They never required it? A: No, and I brought my brother out and I wanted him to release that bond and father said, never mind--you are my boy just the same as he. Q: Your mother and father are dead? A: Yes, 1881 and 1884. Bond released--4 Oct. 1910. 1870--Kossuth--274--Matzovetz, B. and Marie, ages 63 and 60, lived next to Joseph and Elizabeth Matejovic in Kossuth. Probate: Number 3979, E-259. | ||||||||
