Welcome to the Website!

                                                May 25, 2009, Monday afternoon

Greetings!   It has been over a year since my last blurb. I am ready for another.  I have been recording at Rocket Lettuce studio in Dogtown.  Dogtown is an area just south of Forest Park in St. Louis.  It is a cool happening place with great bistros and every St. Patrick’s Day hosts the city parade celebrating the fine art of alcohol consumption and littering.

I am recording my upcoming cd project; the working title is Bellevue Shuffle.  I have a few songs in the can and have about 17 to choose from.

I have also been busy promoting myself on www.myspace.com/elliottranney and www.jazzmatrix.com/elliottranney.

This past weekend May 22, 23, 2009, the acoustic rock duo, Brewer & Shipley, were in town at The Focal Point. Next-door is The Maya Café.   We had a great time hosting the Shipley’s as we have been doing for about fourteen years now. Michael and Tom did a photo shoot at the house for their promo package and website: www.brewer&shipley.com.  Steve Alexander, their webmaster, was in town to see the group and was great to touch base with him.

I have been busy writing lyrics for my song, Alibi, which I have been working on for over seven years now and have a great vocal melody and verse, just doing the lyrics, which are always a challenge.  My co-producer, Bryan Thomas Ranney has been very helpful in guiding me in the lyric process.

Please check out the tour schedule, there are a lot of dates this year.

My duo, Panacea has also been busy working on a new promo package. Pat Rodriguez and I have put together a cool montage of photos and carefully edited live music for a package to show to club owners and restaurants in the st. louis area.

I am sure I could think of something else to inspire you to greatness here, but I must work on laundry.

Let me know if you have dropped by and e-mail me with comments. If you know of any venues Panacea would fit, please let me know.

Take Care,
Elliott
