Hawaii Bonaire North Carolina Scuba Links

Back in 1992, when Meghan and I went on our honeymoon in Freeport, Bahamas, we were planning to go snorkeling. When we got there, however, we found out about something called a "resort scuba course". For less than $100 apiece, we got a half-day lesson in all of the basics of scuba and an afternoon supervised dive. When we came up from the dive, we knew that snorkeling was never going to be nearly as much fun as actually being underwater. We were hooked. We decided then and there that we would have to become certified divers.

Well, it took the better part of eight years, but we finally got certified in Spring, 2000. Now, we dive whenever we get a chance.

I've added this page to the site so I can give you some kind of feel for why the sport of scuba diving is so cool. All of the dive pictures on this site were taken by me (or, in the case of the Manta Ray in Hawaii, by Meghan) using a Sealife Reefmaster camera with a built-in flash.
