CLPOC Board Candidates Needed

The CLPOC Board is looking for candidates who are willing
to step forward and help shape the future of Canadian Lakes.
This is your chance to give something back to our community.
Don't wait to be asked. Come forward and offer to do your
part!
The CLPOC office on Pierce Road (across from the Pines
Golf Course) has free nominating petitions. All you need are
the signatures of 10 CLPOC property owners in good standing.
Other details are on the petitions. (Covering such things as a
resume and statement for the Communiqué, etc.). Deadline for
submitting petitions is Tuesday, August 31, 2004. But, don't wait.

I am hopeful that some "non-residents" and "trunk slammers" or "down staters" will run for office! There is definitely a need to have the majority of property owners represented on the Board. As you can see from the schedule below, the Board and Committees currently operate on a "during the week" and "during normal business hours" schedule - which excludes the majority from participation. In order for this to change, in my opinion, Canadian Lakes needs a Board that is representative of the entire owner community. So run! Make a change so that the governance of Canadian Lakes is representative of the overall make up of the owners!
