CLPOC General Manager Job Description

The General Manager is responsible to the Board of Directors for the general administration of the corporation and specifically for the following functions:
- Achieve the goals and objectives of the corporation as determined by the Board of Directors and founding documents
- Assure that the policies, resolutions and other acts of the Board are carried out
- Prepare or oversee the preparation of the annual budget and be responsible for its implementation
- Keep the Board regularly informed of the fiscal financial and operational health of the corporation
- Negotiate all contracts, subject to approval of the Board
- Assure the corporation's property and capital equipment are well maintained and manage reserve accounts, reports and projections
- Assume responsibility for the purchasing of all supplies, materials and equipment
- Maintain oversight of all corporate projects, programs and community relations
- Is responsible for all hiring, firing and supervision of corporate employees
- Administration of all salaries and wages with the final approval of the Board
- Assure compliance with architectural designs and any related covenants
- Cause to be kept full and complete membership, financial and administrative records of the corporation
- Insure effective liaison between the CLPOC and the Canadian Lakes Association, Canadian Lakes Development Company, local government units and agencies as well as the property owners of Canadian Lakes and all volunteer committees
- Make every reasonable effort to employ, enlist support and assistance from CLPOC members
- Operate in the CLPOC member friendly and cooperative manner
- Handle insurance, tax, legal matters and delinquencies
- Any other duties as assigned by the Board
