Are you worried about your safety and the safety of your loved ones who use the roads in Canadian Lakes for walking, biking or running?
As the summer busy season approaches and more people use our roadways for pleasure as well as getting from point A to point B, it gets dangerous for the pedestrians. Before there is a serious accident, maybe there is a way we can remind people to slow down - it may be their son, daughter, sister, mother, father or loved one over the next blind curve or hill as they blaze through Canadian Lakes doing 40 MPH or so. I've been toying with this idea for a while... How about a public place to record the vehicle information and licenses plates of reported speeders? As we have no legal options to enforce the 25 MPH speed limit, why not a little public bulletin board to give the speeders a little recognition? This can also be used to recognize those who believe STOP signs are just a suggestion. Perhaps we can also recognize those who chose to ignore the boating rules as well. If you agree, send me a note and I'll start to build a page of reported speeders, just include as much vehicle information that you have and details of the incident(s) and if I get enough responses I'll post them all at once.
I am thinking the title of the page will be If you have any questions, send me an e-mail and I'll get back to you as soon as I can.
