What does it mean to inherit the Kingdom of Heaven with Christ?

Why is it important for a Christian to know what it means to inherit the Kingdom of Heaven with Christ? Well, come along and we will explore why.

If a Christian is rewarded the inheritance of the Kingdom with Christ, that person, will be regarded as a firstborn son [Heb 12:23] and that person will be rewarded with a crown or crowns {up to 5 crowns in all} depending on their just recompense of reward [Luke 14:14] [Hebrews 10:30], and that person will be a priest-king [Revelation 20:4,6], after the Order of Melchizedek [Hebrews 5:6] [Hebrews 5:10] [Hebrews 6:20] [Hebrews 7:1,10-11, 15, 17, 21] .  Being rewarded the inheritance of the Kingdom with Christ means a Christian has gained the double portion of all that the father has to offer a firstborn son.

First the foundation: i.e... {spirit salvation, happened {past tense} when a Christian first believed upon Christ Jesus [1 Corinthians 3:11]  This is the salvation that all Christians share as a gift from God. It is the {common salvation} [Jude 1:3].

Only then, can the Christian pursue the prize of inheriting the reward {present/future tense} of soul salvation  [Hebrews 10:39] [James 1:21] [1 Peter 1:9]. This is the the double portion won by the first-born son, and this is only realized just before the Judgment Seat of Christ} [2 Corinthians 5:10] which means that they will have gotten a heavenly mansion [2 Corinthians 5:1] [2 Corinthians 5:2] {the glorified body of flesh and bones} [1 John 3:2] [Luke 24], animated by the Spirit of God, {not by blood} [1 Corinthians 15:50], when they were resurrected from the second death. [Philippians 3:10-14] [Hebrews 11:16] [Hebrews 12:22 [Again, this is part of the double portion].

Christians will not be resurrected from the second death if they appear {just after the rapture of the Church} in the presence of the Bride-Groom {Jesus}, {un-worthy to stand in Judgment} [Luke 20:35] [Luke 21:36], naked and thus without a wedding garment [Matthew 22:11-13].  Unfaithful Christians are not resurrected from the second death [which occurs just before the Judgment Seat of Christ] until the 1000 years have passed. [Revelation 20:5] Instead they will be held by the second death for 1000 years and reserved unto judgment at the Great White Throne of Judgment [Revelation 20:5-6] [Jude 1:13].

Non-overcomers who stand to be judged at the Great White Throne [Revelation 20:12], are sons of God, but, not first-born son's. They will not inherit kingship, or a priestly position and they will not have the reward of living in New Jerusalem. [Revelation 3:12] They shall have no honour through the name of the Lord of Spirits. Yet, through His name shall they be saved, and the Lord will have compassion on them and all tears will be wiped away.             [1 Corinthians 3:15] [Revelation 21:4]

In other words they will have thrown away their inheritance [Hebrews 3 &4] [Hebrews 12:16]. They do not get a double portion {soul salvation}. They have the single portion which is common to all Christians [everlasting spirit salvation] and that is all [Jude 1:3].

Have you ever heard anyone say "I am saved and that is all I care about!" Those names will be found in the Lambs book of life and they will receive their gift of everlasting salvation and thus be saved from everlasting second death. [1 Corinthians 3:15] [Revelation 20:15]. But, they will never rule and reign, as priest/kings in New Jerusalem [Revelation 3:12]; Nor during the 1000 years in the Kingdom of Heaven [Revelation 20:5-6], {in the heavenlies above the Earth} [Ephesians 1:3] [Ephesians 2:6] [2 Timothy 4:18], nor will they rule throughout the everlasting ages beyond. [Revelation 3:12]

It is my hope that now you see why it is so important for Christians to understand just what God has wrought in our lives when we first believed upon the Lord Jesus, the Christ.

He has placed us in a position wherein we can choose to rule with Him during the Millennium and the everlasting ages beyond or we can ignore His offer just as the Jews did and never have another chance to gain the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. [Ephesians 1:3] [Philippians 3:14]
