There's
a big difference between people who hope to be rock stars and people who
already are. Anyone who's seen Jen Trani and Abby Miller on stage
immediately knows they're the latter. With intricate guitar chords,
smooth lyrics, and good looks to boot, these girls are quickly catching
the eye of everyone with whom they come in contact.
It seems hard to believe that
it was only two years ago that their collaboration began. After a
chance meeting thanks to a flyer Abby posted seeking a guitar player, the
two found their chemistry to be immediate. It wasn't long before
their songs began to take life, and they knew something great was about to
occur. Whether everyone else would agree remained to be seen.
Several months of rehearsing
went by before Jen and Abby finally decided to showcase their beloved
music. Friends came to see them out of support, and probably out of
some obligation, but soon it became apparent to everyone else that
something special was already happening. Their poignant songs
touched a chord – no pun intended – with all of those who were lucky
enough to be in attendance.
With all the elements in
place, Jen and Abby began to take L.A. by storm, performing at such known
venues as the Hotel Café, Pig 'N Whistle, Masquers Cabaret, and Room 5,
to name a few. The girls, along with one of their songs, even found
their way onto the season six finale of "The Gilmore Girls."
They've also since been featured on the KBCH radio show "Strange
Angels."
As they continue to branch
out, they have found their number of dedicated fans growing as well –
many who have literally begged to have their songs available on CD.
Seriously, these people were on their knees. Not ones to disappoint,
Jen and Abby are currently working hard to fulfill the requests. So
even if this is the first you've heard of them, we can guarantee it won't
be the last.
