With an intense presence and the spirit of a phoenix, Nels is a powerhouse
of a performer and musician, and she has the pipes, songs, drive, and
passion to prove it.
As a hybrid offspring, Nels sings the anthems of
the 80s, plays the angst of the 90s, and performs with an attitude all of
her own, creating a new version of rock that transcends most genres while
staying true to her core. Compared to Melissa Etheridge, Steve Perry, and
Pat Benatar, Nels rocks like no other.
Out and loud, Nels has recently headlined a
national tour for the LGBT community and will do so again in early 2007.
In 2006, Nels embedded herself in the lesbian
community by playing in 15+ cities nationwide at LGBT venues and events,
including placement as a featured artist on Olivia Travel and Resorts’
November 2006 Hawaii cruise.
She landed local and regional press in nearly
every city entered and rocked her audiences with her powerful live show.
In fact, her success in 2006 brought her recognition from Curve magazine,
Sirius OutQ, executives at XM radio, and the Olivia company.
In addition to her 2006 success, Nels has appeared
on the nationally televised program Showtime at the Apollo in the
world-famous Apollo Theatre, sold songs to Walt Disney, and has worked
with producers for Brittany Spears, Duran Duran, and Violator Records.
Now gearing up for 2007, Nels will release her
full-length album and get back to her newly acquired home: the road.
Following up the success of her last tour, Nels is going to do it bigger
and better in '07. With a 45+ city tour, Nels will continue to rock the
nation and its ladies.
