Singer-songwriter Olga Tapia’s debut album, Negatively Geotropic,
touches on a common element found in human experience: the point where
desire and change meet. The album title refers to the innate principle a
plant follows as it grows against gravity in its search for the sun. The
artist feels the same principle applies to people’s desire and struggle
in growth as change happens.
All that said, combined with deceptively simple
lyrics--raw and honest, Olga’s uniquely stirring voice moves the
listener to long for emotions evoked by what they desire.
