Vertigo Road is a folk/rock/country/blues experiment with Colorado roots.
Members Kim Kopp and Dawnia Carlson are moving musical storytellers whose
intense vocal harmonies flow effortlessly around one another, taking
audiences on a winding musical journey through their relationships, their
revelry and, ultimately, their unwavering sense of spirit.
Vertigo Road’s stunningly aware lyrics and use
of eclectic instrumentation has never been more acutely defined than on
the band’s second release, Oceans.
From slide guitar to flugelhorn, nothing
disappoints on Oceans, including the poignant vulnerability of the
title track and Green and Plenty, which offers sharp cultural
commentary infused with a country vibe.
Recently described by Boston Girl Guide as
creative soul mates, Kim and Dawnia draw capacity crowds when performing
live in a variety of the hottest Los Angeles venues such as The Gig, The
Joint, Genghis Cohen and Zen.
With Vertigo Road’s release of Oceans,
