The Goal
The Faith Inkubators "Head to the Heart" Confirmation System is designed to grow junior high small groups into senior high small groups by injecting the DNA of Jesus into the nucleus of each cell through the love, care and attention of an impact adult called a Guide.

The Philosophy
Is your confirmation program growing kids or graduating kids? Most churches are popping their buttons if 25% of their juniors and seniors are regularly active in worship, service, and fellowship. So, what does this mean for the future of the church?

Traditional confirmation fails not because we have bad pastors, bad parents, or bad kids. We simply keep trying to maintain a bad system. A flashier workbook, flashier youth director or flashier youth budget isn’t going to change things. Systems problems demand systems solutions.

At Faith Inkubators, we think it’s time for a serious systems overhaul of traditional adolescent confirmation ministry. If we are going to retain both information and the teen, we’ve got to shift from a focus on information to a focus on faith formation and from teaching classes to building communities of faith.

The System
Head to the Heart attempts to harness the power of small group ministries and build a network of care as the context for all learning. Small groups learn, serve, and play as they bond together as living cells in the body of Christ. We call the three parts of the system the Theme, Servant, and Fellowship Events. Each month includes two Theme Events, one Servant or Fellowship Event (one each every other month), plus a gathering for youth leaders and volunteers called a Huddle.
