Dr. Dan Guin M.D.

Dr Guin has enjoyed a 30-year career in medicine in the Valley Area. He has special interests in diabetes, cholesterol disorders, depression, obesity, and industrial medicine. He also performs minor surgical procedures.

A native of Carbon Hill, Alabama, Dr. Guin received his undergraduate degree from Birmingham Southern College and his M.D. from the University of Alabama School of Medicine.

After graduating, Dr. Guin served a Rotating Internship and an OB Gyn residency at Mobile General Hospital. Following his residency, he attended the United States Naval Aviation Medical Institute and later served as a United States Naval Flight Surgeon for two years.

Dr. Guin is certified by the Alabama Medical Licensure Agency and the Diplomate American Board of Family Practice. He also hold memberships in the American Medical Association, the Medical Association of State of Alabama, the American Academy of Family Practice, and the Southern Medical Association. He is presently on the active staff of George H. Lanier Memorial Hospital and serves on the Chattahoochee Health Care Foundation Board.

Dr. Dan Guin has been in Family Practice in the Lanett-Valley, AL area since 1968.

He is married and has seven children and five grandchildren. A member of Lanett First United Methodist Church, Dr. Guin enjoys travel, golf, and reading.
