2009 Fantasy NASCAR Rules

Cost - Cost will be $25.00 for all year, or $7.00 per segment.

Deadline - All entries must be received before the start of the Daytona 500 on 2-15-09. Any entry that

has not been paid before the start of race #2 (California on 2-22-09) will be removed.

The Season - The season will be split into 4 segments (see schedule below). Please note the 1^st segment is only 7 races long.

Your Drivers - You will pick a total of 8 drivers from 4 different groups - 2 drivers from each group.

Important note – As always, you pick the driver, not the car# or team.

Early entry - All entries that have been paid in full before the start of the Daytona 500 will be eligible for an early

Bonus entry bonus. The top 2 scoring teams for the Daytona race will get their entry fee refunded.

$7.00 if paying by segment, $25.00 if paying for the entire year.

Prize Fund - The breakdown of prizes will be as follows…

Breakdown $20.00 ($5.00 per segment) will go towards segment pay-outs.

$3.00 ($.75 per segment) will go towards year-end pay-outs.

The remaining $2.00 will go towards expenses & special prizes (such as the early entry bonus).

Prize Fund - Each segment: 1 position for every 10 entries.

Payout (example for 120 people = $125, $95, $75, $60, $50, $40, $30, $25, $25, $25, $25, $25,)

Year-end: 1 position for every 15 entries (average over of all 4 quarters).

(example for 120 people per quarter avg. = $100, $75, $50, $35, $25, $25, $25, $25)

Driver Changes - At the end of each segment, you will have the option to change up to a maximum of 3 of your drivers.

The driver groups will remain the same for the entire year.

Your Points - You get points for your drivers just as the drivers get points from NASCAR (see the Sprint

Cup points schedule below). The results NASCAR Online has posted at http://www.nascar.com

one week after the race will be the official results for this league. If NASCAR later penalizes a

driver by deducting points, our results will remain the same (unless the penalty is announced

within the one week after the race).

Postponed - In the event of a race being postponed for more than one week, it will then become part of the

Races segment in which it is rescheduled. For example, if the final race of the segment is postponed for

4 weeks, it will then become part of the next segment, and the current segment will end immediately.

Tiebreakers - The 1^st tiebreaker will go to the team with the least amount of driver changes for the season.

Any team joining mid-season will be charged 3 driver changes for each segment they missed.

If there is still a tie, the winnings will be split evenly.

Roster - Shortly after the start of each segment, I will post a copy of everyone’s selections on the website.

Updates - Any news or updates will be posted on the league website http://webpages.charter.net/fantasynascar

From there you can view or download the weekly standings, which are usually updated

within a few hours after the race.
