 Serving the communities of
Burr Oak, Mindoro, and Stevenstown, Wisconsin

The Farmington First Responders provide emergency medical services to the residents and visitors of Town of Farmington, La Crosse County, Wisconsin. In the service area are the unincorporated communities of Mindoro, Stevenstown and Burr Oak.

With a service area of over 76 square miles and bordering three adjacent counties team members often find themselves with many challenges. Currently we are staffed with 17 members with two new recruits starting training.

To improve response times members respond with personal jump kits to the emergency, while the team’s emergency vehicle responds from the station in Mindoro. The team uses three LifePak 300 AEDs, one on the emergency vehicle, and the other two float among members on each end of the town to reduce response time in the event of a cardiac arrest.

The Farmington First Responders are operated by the Farmington Emergency Medical Team, Inc. a non-profit 501( C ) (3) corporation. We work closely with the Farmington Volunteer Fire Department and local government in serving our community. Frequently resources are shared to reduce cost and improve services offered.
