Comments about the web site:Sorry for not providing more information yet.
I have been busy travelling for work and hunting for food when I am back. I have
met my biological father Tom Pittman Jr. Since the last time we mailed each
other. His mother is Pam Pittman the Daughter of Hazel Fergus. Hazel's Father
was James Fergus as in Fergus County Montana. There was a biograpghy published
chronicaling his life that my half-sister has a copy of. Some day when I
remember to ask her where she got it I will send you the information. I shall
check out your web page and I will keep in touch.

Jersey, married to Elizabeth Caulfield about 1880. They had four children
William, James, Margaret and Austin. I don't know if John Joseph Fergus had any
sibblings. Any of this ring a bell?

Excellent job! I am seeking help for the marriage of William Fyfe FERGUS and
Mary STARK which took place in the 1890's possibly in Kilsyth Stirling SCT.
William Fyfe FERGUS was born abt 1868 and I believe his parents may have been
William Fergus and Jane Hendy. I am also looking for the children of William
Fyfe Fergus and Mary Stark. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Comments about the web site: Francis Fergus is my 5th Great Grandfather.
I am descended through Jency and Abraham through their daughter Susan Ditty, who
married Charter William Mitchell. I go to Putnam Co TN, where Francis Fergus is
buried in the Ditty Cemetery. Also, Jency, Abraham and John Ditty, the father of
Abraham is buried there. He was also a Rev. War Soldier. Mr. Lillard Maxwell,
who owns the property where the cemetery is located plans to build a road up to
the cemetery and a guard rail around it. It is currently unfenced in a pasture.
Would love to hear from all my Cuzzins. So excited to find this website. I go
back to Putnam County every 6 months or so and have visited the gravesite 2
times this year.

Comments about the web site: Looking for information about Washington W.
Fergus. His daughter was Mary Emeline Fergus b. 4,6,1857 (probably Hancock
County, Ill.) d. 11,2,1926 Mo. Washington W. Fergus married Emeline Hannah
Spangler b. 1826 Ill. d. 1861 Ill. Mary Emeline was four years old when mother
died, and father took her and possibly other children to Monroe County, Mo. and
left Mary Emeline with a family named Green who reared her. Mary Emeline (Emma)
m. 1879 Raphael Clement Leake. Not that it makes any difference to me, but this
Fergus family was not Roman Catholic as Emma converted at marriage. (I want to
be real PC about this...) I have no further information on Washington W. Fergus
as he simply disappeared from Emma's life. Would suppose he was born ca. 1825.
Would appreciate any help on this. Thanks, Janet Brown
