Comments about the web site: I believe that my gradmother on my father's side was Nora A Fergus Philbin. She was born on July 8, 1887, in Newport Co. Mayo of William Fergus and Bridget Sweeney, I believe she had a sister named Bridget and a brother names John J. Fergus. She married Thomas J. Philbin in Chicago, Illinois on September 6, 1911. Thomas J. Philbin was born on July 11, 1879 in Westport, Co Mayo. His parents were Martin Philbin and Nora Derrig. I have just started researching my roots but believe that this information is correct.

Comments about the web site: I originally signed your guest book over 2 years ago. I have since gotten a new e-mail address. My gggg Grandparents, William and Margaret Fergus came from Kirkintilloch, Scotland to America, Probably about 1814. I recently recieved a copy of his 1826 naturalization letter, as well as his 1831 oath letter from Essex County, NY. He is buried in Gilliland Cemetery at Willsboro, NY. I am still searching for his wife Margaret (maiden name Rochead) Another document claims that he was living in Addison County, Vermont by 1828. I am hoping to locate her there as well. I will keep you posted. Patrick

Comments about the web site: Here's a quick list of my immediate ancestors (Fergus side of course), as much as I can remember at this time. Father: William David Fergus Mother: Catherine Fergus (Maiden: Keiver) Brother: Michael Joseph Fergus Grandmother: David William Fergus (Deceased) Grandfather: Margarette Fergus (maiden: Beran) I can't think of my great grand mother and fathers first names, as I was born long after their passing. The last names are Beran and Fergus, and I don't know the maiden names. I am told they all emmigrated from Scottland, except my great grandfater Beran, who was from Czechoslovakia. What I can tell you is that all of the above have been living (and passing on) in Kimberley, BC Canada, since my great fathers and mothers all immigrated in the early 1900's. I am now living in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. I'm interested inlearning more about your site (how it came together, major players, etc.) And I would be quite interested in tracing my family tree if possible. Anything you can tell me? Thanks, Jon W. Fergus
