Warning Description: Heat Advisory

Warning Date: 8:59 PM PDT on July 23, 2016

WarningSum:...Heat Advisory Remains In Effect Until 8 Pm Pdt Sunday...

Warning Message:* high temperatures today...
Inland Empire...............101 to 110.
San Diego County valleys.....86 to 102.
Lower deserts...............108 to 112.
Upper deserts...............102 to 105.
Mountains below 5000 feet....96 to 105.
* Outlook for Sunday...around 10 degrees of cooling in the 
  valleys and 5 degrees of cooling elsewhere. 
* Impacts...over exposure to heat could lead to heat illness 
  especially for people at risk...including the elderly and 
  children. Pets are also at risk. Remember to check your 
  backseat for people and pets!! 
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
Take extra precautions if you work or spend time outside. When
possible... reschedule strenuous activities to early morning or
evening.  Know the signs and symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat
stroke.  Wear light weight and loose fitting clothing when
possible and drink plenty of water.
To reduce risk during outdoor work the occupational safety and
health administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks
in shaded or air conditioned environments. Anyone overcome by
heat should be moved to a cool and shaded location. Heat stroke
is an emergency - call 9 1 1.
