Flip-Lite Brackets could save you from another costly repair bill. You may never need to replace your turn-signal lights again. Flip-Lite Brackets allow the mounting of turn-signal lights onto a folding mechanism that protects the turn-signal lights when in the folded or off-road position. They can be returned to the street position with the simple flick of your wrist. Detents lock the Flip-Lite Brackets firmly, so they stay where you put them, and the locking force is adjustable. Installing Flip-Lite Brackets to your dual-sport motorcycle lets you fold the turn-signal lights next to the fender, in close and out of harm's way, for off-road riding. A simple action of the rider's hand will return the assembly to the street-riding position. Made of 16 gauge 304 stainless steel and assembled with 10-32 stainless steel fasteners, these folding brackets are very durable and can sustain rough use. Because the two brackets are identical, if necessary, the mountings can be swapped to expose new detent mating surfaces, for increased product life. Most stock turn-signal lights will fit the Flip-Lite Brackets mounting hole. Recent tests have shown that using the popular Lockhart Short Stalk I and Short Stalk II turn-signal lights, although not indestructible, do survive most impacts when attached to the Flip-Lite Brackets. These are moderately priced and look clean when installed on dual-sport bikes. The motor vehicle code for California requires that turn-signal lights be spaced 18" apart. Turn-signal lights attached to Flip-Lite Brackets and fender-mounted will conform to the state's requirements. |
