Articles of Faith

1. We believe in one true and living God: Father, Son and Holy Ghost and these three are one.

2. We believe the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are the revealed and inspired word of God, and the only rule of faith and practice, particularly the New Testament for saints under this dispensation.

3. We believe in the fall of Adam and his posterity in and with him into condemnation by transgressing God’s law; in total depravity of the human race and in the impossibility of any of them to recover themselves or gain the favor of God by their own “free will”.

4. We believe in the eternal love of God to His people, and in the eternal election of a definite number of the human family to grace and glory; and that there was a covenant of redemption with the Father and Son before the world began in which their salvation was secured, and that they in particular are redeemed.

5. We believe His people, sinners as they are, as related to a fallen parent, have been and will be effectually called, quickened, and born of the Spirit of God; justified by the righteousness of Jesus Christ imputed to them, and no other way.

6. We believe that all chosen in Christ will be called, consecrated and sanctified, and will be supported by the Spirit, kept by the power of God so that they shall persevere in grace and not one of them shall be finally lost.

7. We believe that good works are the fruits of faith, and this after conversion, and that they justify us in the sight of men and angels, and are evidences of our gracious state.

8. We believe there will be a resurrection of the dead, both of the just and of the unjust, and a general Judgment, and that the happiness of the righteous and suffering of the wicked will be everlasting.
