Fr. Bruno Cocuzzi, O.C.D. (Raymond Paul)

 

Was born on February 7, 1927.  He joined the Discalced

Carmelite Order after college and his stint in the Navy.

First Profession of Vows was in 1953 and he was ordained

a priest on December 22, 1956 in Washington, D.C.  He

taught in the Minor Seminary in Peterboro, N.H. and became

Superior of the Novitiate in Brookline, MA in 1960.  He then

became Superior of a Monastery until 1964.  With permission

from the Order he received his Law degree in Boston and

served the poor there for fifteen years in a legal aid ministry.

In 1990, he became the Provincial Delegate of the secular order

and moved to Peterboro, N.H. until 1993.  He then returned to

Brighton, MA and worked on fund-raising for Carmelite Nairobi

Mission, an international house of studies in Kenya, Africa.

He served as Mission Procurator until last year.
