Registration:
Tolovana Inn, 3400 S. Hemlock, Cannon Beach,
Oregon.
Directions:
Follow signs from Hwy 101 or Hwy 26 to Cannon Beach. Take
the Tolovana Exit at the south end of Cannon Beach to the intersection
of Hemlock and Warren Way. The Inn is on the southwest corner of
the intersection. Start box is to the left of hotel registration
desk by the
coffee.
Parking: Use hotel parking for registration
ONLY. After registering, park your car across Warren Way in the
Tolovana Wayside parking lot and start your walk from there.
Event Info: Daily, dawn to dusk.
Not suitable for strollers or wheelchairs. Restroom and water at
registration and along route. Revised route for 2009 - more of
the route is on the beach, and should only be done when the tide is
out. Be sure to check tide tables, which are available at the
registration point. (The previous route is also available, should that
be your preference) Scenic route in a beach resort with
some grand vistas. When it is clear, you can see Tillamook Head
Lighthouse. See Haystack Rock, one of the world's
largest monoliths; enjoy the tidepools at low tide. This is NOT a
pet-friendly walk.
