The
Turnaround
Trekkers Volkssport Club is sponsoring a Walking The World's Murals challenge. This challenge begins
January 1, 2011. Books will be for sale until December 31,
2013.
A mural is any piece of artwork painted directly on
a wall, ceiling or
other large permanent surface. Did you know that murals have been
around for about 30,000 years? Mural subjects may be scenic,
political, historic or humorous.
Any AVA or IVV sanctioned event that passes by a
mural qualifies for this challenge. As you complete each
qualifying event, imprint the event stamp in the Mural record book and
then note the date, location and subject of the mural.
(Participant must register and pay the event fee). Thirty (30)
events are required to complete the challenge. The Turnaround
Trekkers
Volkssport Club invites you to discover the world of murals as you earn
volkswalk credit.
To participate in this fun program
and earn your Mural award patch, you must purchase a Mural record
book. Send a check for $10 payable to Turnaround Trekkers to:
