War On Terror

Time and again, I will post some of my “mind products!” here in English. The reason for it is that I can best communicate some of my ideas by the very language that I conceive them in my mind.
At any given twenty four hour block of time, whether during the day or while asleep, I switch thousands of times between Farsi and English in my thought process. So there..

One thing that I particularly want to talk about now is what George W. Bush said today about the “war on terrorism.”
He suggested that the war on terrorism can not be won.
That has stirred a lot of Democrats crazy! Jumping for joy, they are acting as if they have heard the best thing from the president’s mouth that can be used against him in these crazy election times.
That statement may also have given way to doubts in the hearts of some die-hard Republicans, while his aides scramble to defend his remarks!
But to me, that was a very logical statement.
Can any society on earth ever hope to win war on crime?

Of course not.

Humanity, I believe, can at best hope to keep crime at a level which civilization in general is not endangered and general life can go on with a relative degree of peace and comfort.By the extension of same logic, knowing that terrorism can not be defined but it being a criminal act or a collection of criminal acts, I have also believed for a long time that the “war on terrorism can not be won.”
