Year of Wild Magic, 14 Present Reckoning, 23rd of Eleasias
The 3rd of the last ride of Highsun.

It’s good to be back on the road again. Although it’s been only a tenday since I’ve camped under the stars, it feels longer. This is the first time I’ve been on the road in such a small group. I’m used to the slow march of a caravan, but I’m quickly growing to enjoy this faster pace. Inferno seems to enjoy it also. Another pleasing aspect is I find the company I’m in far better than that of a selfish merchant. There are ten of us from the Adventures’ Guild Hall, three humans, two dwarves, two half-elves, one gnome, a tiefling, and myself.

There is Jakihm, a human priest of Tymora who seems better suited for the city life. He never complains about anything though, and always seems to be looking at the bright side of things.

Alemnia is a quiet human wizard. I share last watch with her. She doesn’t shy away from work, and seems to have a good heart.

Then there is Na’tally, also a human wizard. She seems a rich girl out to prove her worth to her uncle. Just what little I’ve been around her, I’d say she is capable. She has a familiar, a raven that by her looks must be testing her patience’s.

Bedwin, a gruff, grizzled dwarven warrior, carries a great dwarven axe that I’d hate to be on the wrong end of. I find it odd that he’d never ridden until a few days ago. He might not admit it, but I think he’s glad he finally learned. Who said you can’t teach an old dwarf new tricks?

Marisa is unlike any of the dwarves I’ve ever met before. Always in high spirits, and blessed with a witty tongue. She treasures her crossbow, and looks quite capable with it.

The half-elf Amershaine gives the impression he’s more comfortable talking to his horse, whose name is Oakshield I believe, rather than any of us. When I look him in the eyes, I feel like there is wild fury behind them. There is no doubt though, he is at home in the wild.

Torstag, the other half-elf, is also home in the wild. It seems he was paid by Na’tally’s uncle to guide us. I share last watch with him, and am glad he is accompanying us. His sword and bow will be needed.

Tinem is a fun loving gnome with some spell casting abilities. His jokes and stories help make the days go by. He seems to know about gems and precious stones, maybe I’ll ask him to show me some day.

Lastly there is the exotic creature Mehet. I could use all my ink and not do her justice. Her voice is amazing; it’s like nothing I’ve ever heard before. She is witty and very pleasing on the eyes.

One thing I’ve noticed is that unlike where I’m from, green eyes seem to be more common up north. No, not all of us have green eyes, but there seems to be enough to put a smile on Xivm’s dead face.
