Notes: Designed during the Dominion war to be the first small craft designed specifically for fighting and support of larger vessels in the field. The ghIntaq is based on the tried and true B'rel design on a much smaller scale. Much of the automation from the original B'rel was retained in the design to include wings that rise up upon landing. The vessel is capable of fighting in atmospheres and can land on planets with the aid of its landing gear. The wings retained their automation so that more of the fighter craft could be placed on the jey'naS battle carriers.

The main armament of the ghIntaq is comprised of a pair of mark I disruptor cannons which are the smallest available weapons within the Empire designed specificially for ship use. These weapons may not pack much punch but when several fighters with a very fast recharge rate are hammering the enemy it adds up in the end. It also sports two micro photon torpedo launchers (the first successfully built micro photon torpedo launchers by the Empire) with a payload of twenty five torpedoes.

To compliment the weapons the ghIntaq carries it also employs an advanced target acquisition and firing system that allows unparalleled firing acurracy even among ships within the empire that are much larger. This allows the ghIntaq craft to make every shot count.

While the ghIntaq does not have much in the way of shielding, armor, or structural integrity its sheer maneuverability and speed during combat makes it a difficult target to hit. Battle simulations conducted by the Empire have shown a high survivability rate in most combat situations.

Most of its power deficiencies lie in the fact that the craft has absolutely no room for a micro matter anti-matter reactor like most vessels. It is instead powered by a high output micro-fusion reactor which is small enough to fit in the aft fuselage of the craft but provides only half the power that would be available if it had the micro matter anti-matter reactor. While the reactor does offer a very high recharge rate of weapons due to the built in power priority macros in the engineering systems it offers absolutely no power for shield and structural integrity field reinforcement unless the pilot takes the time to override the built in power macros. Klingon engineers are working on a way to minaturize the matter anti-matter reactor further but they speculate that it will be several years before they have a workable model.
