| At the recent Alpha Fleet meeting the subject of a fleet wide plot line was brought up. What this means for us if it is approved is that the sim format will be changing to fit whatever Star Trek universe is currently being envisioned by the brass. Anyway, I will make the sim flow into the new plot line if it is approved. We won't have to start on it until about May, again if it is approved. If you have any questions comments or other such things on this subject you can e-mail me or the XO. | How the fleet wide sim plot will work is that we may have to joint sim with other sims to accomplish ordered tasks. We may also be given missions that we will have to accomplish or not accomplish on our own. I suppose we could go rogue but I doubt that FSF Jon or FSF Genevieve would like that very much. I will keep you updated as time goes by. | Personally I think that this type of simming dampens the creativity of the individual sims. However, Alpha fleet's new goals are to create a community environment and get the sims to work together more. While this is Admirable I think this is the wrong way to do it. Ultimately the charter prevents them from forcing a sim plot on us but if they amend the fleet constitution then we may have to. |
