In 1997, Eighth graders were asked if they had used marijuana within the past year. 18 percent said yes. This percentage tripled since 1991.
In 1997 Tenth graders were asked if they had used marijuana within the past year. 34 percent said yes. This is one in every three tenth graders. This percentage more then doubled since 1992.
