McKean County Drug Task Force
It is the goal of the Task
Force program to establish highly responsive Task Forces of trained drug
investigators. These Task Forces will be utilized throughout the Commonwealth
to respond to the general drug law enforcement needs. Cooperative Task Force
Units with municipal police departments will be emphasized for street level as
well as large volume traffickers.
Foster Township Police
Department is a member of the McKean County Drug Task Force. The McKean County
Drug Task Force is made up of municipal police officers from municipalities
across McKean County. The MCDTF is ran by the McKean County District Attorney’s
Office and is funded through the Office of Attorney Generals Bureau of Narcotic
Investigation and Drug Control. Police
Departments that participate in the Task Force are reimbursed by McKean County
District Attorney’s for Officers wages.
The McKean County District Attorney also provides training for participating
officers; advanced funds for the purchase of controlled substances, for case
expenses, and for payment of informants.
