Powder Keg Quartet.
We wanted to let you all know that Powder Keg Quartet (trio, actually!) has made the difficult decision to disband. We formed the quartet right after regionals in 2009 and came in second in our first competition together in 2010. Several months later we lost our lead, Michelle Shoemaker, to Martini Quartet, a decision we are sure she has come to regret since then! At Regional 2011 we competed with a "loaner lead" (thanks Virtuosity and Alexis Delaney!) and came in third. For various personal reasons we will not be able to complete this year, so we have decided to hang up our pitch pipe.
We have enjoyed being a Song of Atlanta competing quartet and are grateful for all the love and support we have received along the way.
