Edwin McCain is a Greenville native who began performing at an early age.  He had the title role in “Amahl and the Night Visitors” at Christ Church at age 10, was young Joseph in a Greenville Little Theatre production of “Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat” and sang at Christ Church Episcopal School in musicals.  At the College of Charleston, he began his professional career singing and playing guitar in Charleston’s Market Street area which led to summers performing in Hilton Head and winters in Vail, CO.  In 1992 he organized a band and recorded three albums for Atlantic Records, two of which sold over 500,000 copies.  He tours the country playing at clubs like the House of Blues in major cities and at numerous festivals and special events.  Edwin has appeared with David Letterman, Jay Leno, on MTV and VH1, and on The View.  His hit song “I’ll Be” has been a wedding favorite and a choice for several American Idol contestants.  He and his wife Christy have a home in the Augusta Rd area.  His father, Watt McCain is Program Chair for this meeting.
