GWC typically operates offices in Crescent City
(year round) and Arcata, California with computers, Internet access, e-mail,
copiers, fax facilities, and reference library of current literature.
Field offices can be opened near large projects to direct work and reduce
transportation costs. |

Financial resources include excellent credit and a credit
line with U.S. Bank. GWC maintains workers compensation policies
in Oregon and California, a commercial auto policy and carries a one-million
dollar liability policy. Other resource professionals and consultants
are often utilized when their expertise is required. Personnel resources
typically include up to 30 seasonal biologists and technicians, who are
recruited nationwide to obtain experienced professionals. |

GWC has five four-wheel drive trucks, two four-wheel
drive utility vehicles, two transport vehicles, four four-wheel ATV's
(all-terrain vehicles) and a snowmobile. ATV's are extremely useful for
surveying on old road systems where trucks are not allowed and vehicle
impacts must be kept to a minimum, or in snow conditions. Vehicles are
equipped with fire-fighting equipment, tool kits, first aid kits and most
have radio and telephone communication. |

Equipment on hand to survey wildlife includes two resource-grade
Trimble GEO-3 GPS units, seven programmable multi-channel UHF portable
radios numerous broadcast callers for species such as great gray owls
and goshawks, recorded bird calls for broadcasting, spotting scopes, binoculars,
Camtracker camera, video camera, 35mm cameras, tape recorders, furbearer
track boxes, Anabat bat detector and software, turtle traps, boats, dive
gear, a turbdity meter, snowshoes, mountain bikes, compasses, altimeters,
thermometers, and all-weather camp gear for extended field work.
