Since 1989, our primary service has been assisting clients achieve land management goals, including project clearance permitting, timber harvests, real estate and geothermal development, gravel extraction, recreation and property value assessment. GWC prepares biological surveys, monitoring, mitigation and management plans to NEPA and CEQA compliance, and conducts wildlife, fisheries and botanical surveys. GWC also prepares Wetland Delineations, Biological Assessments, Biological Evaluations, and Habitat Conservation Plans for Section 10 incidental take permits. GWC routinely conducts biological inventories and habitat assessments for rare, threatened, endangered or sensitive status species.

GWC functions as a liaison between clients and regulatory agencies, assisting with development and timber/wildlife conflicts and providing advice on sensitive species issues. Hundreds of sensitive species survey and monitoring plans throughout northern California and southern Oregon have been developed for landowners and public land managers, meeting compliance with state and federal regulations.

GWC is capable of completing large and small projects, with full-time project coordinators, administrative staff, biologists and approximately 30 seasonal technicians. GWC provides quality services at highly competitive rates. GWC conducts surveys in deep snow, designated wilderness areas, and unroaded backcountry. Personnel are well trained for any conditions which may be met in the field.

Clients include AT&T, Verizon, Calpine Corporation (geothermal resources), Temsco Helitours (Alaska), U.S. Forest Service, Bureau of Land Management, Finley Engineering, Steve Launi Forestry, Gary Howard Forestry, Ron Hunt Surveying and Forestry, and numerous other independent consulting foresters, Del Norte County and Josephine County.
