Soft Sculptures

There is something very satisfying taking a nylon stocking, a lump of polyfil, and a needle and thread; and watching a personality form beneath your fingers. My first show was in 1980, and I kept my faces simple.These characters were not made to be played with, they are too fragile. Below are some of the simple caricatures that started me down the creative path.
