On June 5, 2002 around 5:35 pm, Emily Grace was born to us at St. Vincent's hospital in Birmingham, AL. She was 9 pounds, 9 ounces and 21.25 inches long. After we got her home and cleaned up, she mostly slept and looked cute.

About six weeks later we had her christened. She's was growing like crazy by then, and really starting to be fun to be around. And of COURSE you knew we'd have to dress her up in cute outfits related to Alabama football when the time was appropriate! A natural on camera, Emily smiles a lot, laughs from her belly and has a pretty good time all around (especially when someone is playing with her).

She's even fashion conscious, and can even accessorize all by herself. Sure, sunglasses won't stay on without some help, but she knows what to aim for.

We carried her along to the airshow in Tuscaloosa in November, 2003. She's always been a big fan of airplanes, and is a good flight passenger when my Dad takes her up.

In addition to flying, books rank highly with Emily. Books are great because they expand the mind, open up new possibilities, and give her something to do that doesn't involve making noise! She'll even tackle the books with no pictures from time to time.

People say she looks just like her mother, which is supposedly a good thing (you can be the judge). That's okay, I can shape her after me in other ways!
