Selenah place holder image

Selenah is an engineer by day and a dancing machine at night. She feels that dance frees her logical mind to see beyond the obvious. Selenah's love of Middle Eastern dance began in Raleigh, NC, in 2002, where she studied from Linda of Belly Revelations. She then moved to Asheville and began dancing with Baraka Mundi for 1.5 years and later formed Tribalesque with Avani in 2005. She has travelled to many countries (Turkey, Greece, Spain, Morrocco) in the past two years to gain greater understanding of Middle Eastern dance origins and culture. She also finds inspiration in her studies of African and Indian dance.
