| I writing to inquire about the possibility of Georgia’s Garden,
Inc. helping further your foundations mission. Your Foundation
was selected because of the similarity of interest between you and Georgia’s
Garden.
In 1998, Georgia’s Garden became a not-for-profit, 501©(3) tax-exempt organization licensed by the State of Wisconsin as a community-based residential facility (CBRF) for women who have made a commitment to recovery from alcohol and drug addiction. Georgia’s Garden was created out of a need in its community and throughout the state of Wisconsin to provide a safe, supportive drug and alcohol free setting where women can focus on their recovery from chemical dependency and/or eating disorders and reclaim their lives. Currently, Georgia’s Garden thrives at its location in the town of Windsor, Wisconsin, approximately seven miles from the Northeast side of the City of Madison. The Recovery home serves no more than eight women at one time. The length of stay may vary from one month to twelve months. Residency is granted on a self-pay basis, and resident fees currently account for 60% of Georgia’s Garden’s operating cost. Georgia’s Garden does not receive health insurance payments since most women’s benefits are exhausted from their primary treatment costs. Our innovative approach to financing allows women an opportunity to remain in an active treatment environment for as long as they need assistance in their early recovery. In addition to offsetting the clients’ fees we also would like to establish funding for women who can not afford our fee of $3,000.00 per month. The plan is to set aside two of our eight beds for these women and this would provide diversity of life experiences and interests to benefit all. If you have any interest in making a tax deductible donation, please
feel free to email
us, or give us a call at 608-846-1625 and we will answer
any questions you may have.
Sincerely,
Sarah Groth, LCSW, CADCIII
