### Identifiers for detailed information contain three number fields:

#### The generation number is counted forward or backward from our greatgrandparents who are generation +1. A series of generations might include -4, -3, -2, -1, +0 , +1, +2, +3, +4, +5. The lineage number is counted with our daughters as 1; we are 2 and 3; our parents are 4,5,6 and 7; and earlier ancestors may be ...245,246,247... The lineage number field is not present in unconnected families. The relationship between any person and the closest lineal ancestor of our daughters is given by a combination of numbers and symbols:

-1 246 1 is the first child of ancestor 246.
-1 246 1-1 is the first spouse of the first child of 246.
-1 246 2 is the second child of 246.
-1 246 (10) is the tenth child of 246.
+0 246 23 is the third child of the second child of 246.
-2 246-1 is the first spouse of 246.
-2 246-2 is the second spouse of 246.
-2 246-1-1 is a first spouse of the spouse of 246.
-2 246-1-3 is a third spouse of the spouse of 246.
-1 246-12 is the second child of the first spouse of 246 by another marriage.
-2 246-0 is an unmarried relationship by 246.
-2 1 is an unconnected person of the same generation as 246.
-1 12 is the second child of the unconnected person.

Less frequently used terms for parents of nonlineal relatives are:
-3 246-1<1 is the father of the first spouse of 246.
-3 246-1<2 is the mother of the first spouse of 246.
-2 246-1<11 is a brother or sister of the first spouse of 246.
-2 246-1<11-1 is the spouse of a brother or sister of the first spouse of 246.
