Wood Carving

 To feel the crisp cut of a  sharp chisel or gouge through wood and to see something emerge from that piece of wood is exciting. Where before there was a raw material, now  there is an emerging form, a piece of art,  useful tool or utensil. It takes a person back to their very roots, back to a time when we worked with our hands and tamed nature. It is almost primordial!

Some of my carvings are for sale, especially Ornaments and Wood Spirits. I also will be adding Santa Carvings and walking sticks for sale later in the year.

If you see anything that you would like me to carve for you, feel free to contact me, I do custom work also.
