Spam Recycling Center
Internet experts tell you to never reply to a spam. A "remove" tells the spammer your email address is active
and you will be spammed even more. So what are you supposed to do? This is why ChooseYourMail.com, F.R.E.E. and CAUCE joined forces to create the Spam Recycling Center.

The USGenWeb Digital Library (Archives) was developed to present actual transcriptions of public domain
records on the Internet. This huge undertaking is the cooperative effort of volunteers who either have electronically formatted files on census records, marriage bonds, wills, and other public documents, or are willing to
transcribe this information to contribute. I maintain the LAGenWeb St. Mary Parish Archives site. Volunteer or
submit data and help keep genealogical research on the internet FREE!
Shareware for German Genealogy
Often one of the most difficult problems in German genealogy is to find the village of origin of an immigrant,
especially if the person was an early immigrant (pre-1800). This program uses telephone listings from Germany, available on the Internet or CD-ROM, to produce maps showing the locations of a particular surname today. The
program produces a map of all of Germany showing the number of listings in each two-digit zipcode (PLZ) area. These statistics, along with the map, document how the surname is distributed.
Hamrick Software - U.S. SurnameDistribution
Similiar to the Link above, enter a surname (last name) into the form and you'll get a map of the United States
showing the distribution of people with this surname within the 50 United States. However, the maps are based on US CENSUS records. These maps are often helpful when trying to determine a starting point for genealogy projects.
Immigrant Ships Transcribers Guild
A group of volunteers dedicated to making the search for our ancestors easier. This group grew out of a need
to find ships’ passenger lists right here, on-line. As of January 28, 1999, they have over 300 passenger manifests posted on their website, which represents more than 7,000 passengers and more will be added on a weekly basis.
