On Wings as Eagles
Isaiah 40:27-31

Introduction:
    On the road of life, it is sure that we will find ourselves sometimes in a
    valley, lost, with no sense of direction. It is just as sure that we will grow tired, become
    weary, maybe become discouraged. God has promised that if we trust in Him, hope in
    Him, wait on Him, He will provide for us and lift us up.

I.  Where is God When I Need Him?
     A. Bad things happen to good people
     B. Sometimes we may feel that God is not watching over us
     C. Learn to trust in God (especially in these times) Prov. 3:5,6
     D. God is a strong fortress Psalm 125
     E. Psalm 36:5-7  God shelters us as a mother eagle cares for her little ones
 
II.  You Can Fly
     A. Isaiah 40:27-31
     B. Do not doubt God’s concern for you
     C. He is able to take care of you
     D. God’s grace is for those who are weary and weak (depend on Him)
     E. God’ power provides beyond physical strength
     F. Mount up (sprout wings) like eagles (figurative)
     G. Strength for your spiritual walk (you will not grow tired)

III. A Conditional Promise
     A. Exodus 19:3-6
     B. To Israel
     C. Bore you on eagle’s wings
     D. Brought close to God
     E. Condition:
          1. obey my voice
          2. keep my covenant
     F. Result: You shall be my own possession (special treasure)
     G. We are now God’s kingdom of priests, holy nation,  God’s peculiar people
           1 Pet. 2:9-10

Conclusion:
God has promised to provide for our physical needs if we will only put Him
 first and seek first His kingdom Matt. 6: 25-34. Obey Him. Trust Him. He will care for you.
