I. The Price Tag of Sin
     A. Isa. 59:1
          1. God wants to save us
          2. God wants to hear us
          3. What can keep us from God that He will not hear?
     B. Isa. 59:2
          1. Sin separates us from God
          2. His face is hidden from us
          3. He will not hear us
     C. What is the price tag on sin?
          1. Pain, guilt, broken homes, poverty, disease, etc.
          2. Physical death (Gen. 3:3)
          3. Spiritual death Rom. 6:23

II. Dead to Death
     A. We were once dead in sin Col. 2:13
     B. The saved are now dead  to sin I Peter 2:24,25
     C. We may return to the ways of sin.
     D. We must repent to be reconciled to God
          1. Ezek. 18:20-22, 30
          2. II Peter 3:9
          3. This involves a change of heart, and a change of action

               A Sunday School teacher once asked a class what was meant by the
              word "repentance."  A little boy put up his hand and said, "It is being sorry
              for your sins."  A little girl also raised her hand and said, "It is being sorry
              enough to quit."

      E. Dead to sin, alive in Christ Rom. 6:1-4

              "The soul that comes to Jesus through failure, shame, or pain, by His
              wondrous love and mercy may soar as high again."

II. The Price is Paid
     A. I Cor. 6:20
     B. Twice His
          1. He made us
          2. He bought us
     C. It cost Christ's blood (Col. 1:14)
     D. He paid the price in full
          1. "it is finished"
          2. We could not pay the price, Christ paid it for us.
     D. You are worth the greatest price

Conclusion:
     A. Does your life glorify God?
     B. Is God hiding His face from you?
     C. Christ calls you to repentance Rev. 3:19,20
