Reserved in Heaven I Peter 1:3-5 Introduction: A. We are children of the Living God B. We have a royal inheritance with Him C. As a father may leave a will to his children to assure them of their
inheritance, so has so has our Father D. From our text we will see that we have a living hope for an
imperishable inheritance assured to us by a powerful God I. We Are Born Again To a Living Hope A. Our hope is not insubstantial 1. We serve a living God 2. We trust in a risen Savior B. Our faith rests in a risen and living Christ 1 Cor. 15:14-19 C. We hope in the coming of Christ (Titus 2:13 ) Looking for that blessed hope,
and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Savior Jesus Christ" II. We Have An Imperishable Inheritance A. We are heirs to the throne of God B. Through His grace we are given our inheritance Acts 20:32 C. Our inheritance is eternal Titus 3:5-7 III. We Trust in a Powerful God A. God is able to take care of us B. He is able and willing deliver us to our inheritance C. 2 Tim. 1:12 D. We must he willing to trust Him E. Through faith we must submit to Him F. 1 Peter 5:6,7 G. David speaks of the greatness of God 1 Chr. 29:11,12 1. Verse 11 speaks of the mighty power of God 2. Verse 12 speaks of the way He gives strength
to His own Conclusion: A. Do you have this living hope? B. Do you have this imperishable inheritance? C. Are you trusting in the all powerful God? D. Acts 2:36-39 1.You too can have an inheritance in
Heaven 2. Jesus Christ has made it possible if you
will obey Him 3. Put Him on in baptism today, as Peter
commands through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit
