DATC Directors are elected
to 1-year terms by club members. The next election is to be held in January,
2004.
The current directors
are:
| President | Marty Ogden |
| Marty is a teacher and track coach at Weston High School. He is also a former track and cross-country coach at Danbury High School. During his nine-year tenure at DHS his teams captured state championships in cross-country (twice), indoor track (three times) and outdoor track (once). His 2000 cross-country team also captured the New England Championship and was ranked 10th in the country. Eight High-School All-Americans ran for Marty while he was at DHS. In 1998 he was honored as the Connecticut Coaches Association Coach of the Year for track and in 2000 received the same award for cross country. Before arriving at DHS he was a graduate-assistant coach for Sacred Heart University during its inaugural year in NCAA Division I. He holds a USATF Level-I coaches certification and is Level-II certified in the throws. He has been on staff at the Five-Star Cross-Country Camp for 11 years. Marty continues to compete in races ranging from the 800m to the marathon. | |

| Wallie is a veteran runner from New Milford, CT and a certified USATF track official. He is the New Balance Moonlight Run 5K race director, a May event that attracts 1,000 runners, and the director of the February Polar Bear Run around Lake Waramaug. He has over 30 years of racing experience, including 45 marathons (13 Boston Marathons) with a personal best time of 2:45 (Boston), plus hundreds of shorter distances ranging from 5K to 1/2 marathons. Wallie has owned Road & Track Sports, a running specialty store in New Milford, since 1991. His business has served athletes from as far north as Torrington to Waterbury, Newtown, Ridgefield and New Fairfield. | |
| Youth Program Director | Jim Keller |
| Jim is founder of the New Fairfield Flash Track Club, a youth cross country and track & field organization. He is the past national program director of the Foot Locker National Cross-Country Championships and Foot Locker Partner road-race series. Jim has played a key role in a number racing events, including creation of the Wall Street Rat Race (NYC), production of the Kinney Invitational and Pan-Pacific Games (California), coaching the International Sports Exchange (Australia), and implementing the TAC Runners Ranking Service. Jim has been an active participant in track, road racing, cross country and triathloning his entire life. | |

| Tim is a lifelong resident of Connecticut and has lived in Danbury for the past 22 years. For the past 5 years, he has been a volunteer high school track and field coach and an official working with the throwing events. In high school Tim was a discus thrower. He added the hammer and weight throws while competing at Dartmouth College. He plans to compete at the masters level when he turns 50. | |

| Sergio, a 1993 graduate in business administration from Rio De Janeiro University (Brazil), has been an avid runner for the past 21 years. In recent years he has established himself as one of the premier middle-distance runners in New England. He was named Runner of the Year by New England Magazine in 2001 and Connecticut Runner of the Year by the HiTek website in 1999, 2000, and 2001. He is a three-time winner of the Ridgefield Half Marathon and four-time winner of the Twilight Race. In 1997 he was the USATF-Connecticut champion. He holds personal records of 14:12 in a 5K road race (Los Angeles), 14:18 in a 5K outdoor track event (Rio De Janeiro), and 8:30 in a 3K indoor event (Armory, NYC). As a teenager living in Brazil, he placed 2nd in the 2000m steeplechase at the South American Junior Championships, running a 5:40. In 2002 he placed 8th in the 3000m at the Millrose Games. | |

Yvonne is a resident of Sandy Hook. She is a Master Track & Field Official and serves as the Certification Chair for USATF/Connecticut. She is also the boy's track and field coach at Bethel High School. Yvonne will be certifying area officials and assigning officials for DATC events. |

| Treasurer | Nick Nassra |
| Nick was born and raised in Danbury and has competed in running events since junior high. He was a Danbury High School captain and went on to compete at the University of Connecticut. He has competed in over 400 races in his 24 year career, running everything from the 100m to the marathon. As a member of the Danbury Jaycees, he founded and directed one of the oldest races in Danbury, the Twilight Run 5k. Nick graduated from UConn with a BS in math and is currently attending Sacred Heart working on his MBA. | |

| John recently moved to New Fairfield, CT from Vermont. He has experience as a volunteer high-school track and field coach, focusing on hurdles and long sprints. In recent years he has competed in master's track (200m and 400m) and road racing events, trying to figure out what he might be good at. Currently, he is attempting to qualify for the Boston Marathon. |
