DATC Workouts

DATC member workouts are conducted every Tuesday and Thursday at Danbury High School (click here for directions), under the direction of either Marty Ogden or Sergio Rebeiro. The starting time is 6:30 PM for both nights. Workouts are conducted for sprint and distance events. Proper warm up and running drills will be reviewed and practiced at these workouts. On Tuesdays distance runners conduct threshold workouts. These workouts help improve a runner's ability to hold down blood-lactate accumulation at faster running speeds. On Thursdays distance runners conduct interval workouts. These workouts help improve a runner's aerobic capacity. Both types of workouts are challenging and it is helpful to run them as part of a team where a support system can encourage a runner to complete the workout.

An additional sprint workout is conducted Sunday mornings at 11:30 AM.

Please note that youth workouts/practices have ended for the summer.
